I was reading some old posts, and I realize I promised you an update on Cocoa. You shall receive it. But first a few other things.
First of all, this post is posted through MarsEdit, which is a very nice piece of software, which will soon be out in a new version. Unless something very unexpected [...]

Added 2008-07-29: I just noticed that Mark/Space released Missing Sync for Symbian today. I don’t use my M600i anymore (I bought an iPhone instead), so I haven’t tried it, but this allows for syncing your Symbian phone and your Mac, including syncing files. I would suggest that you take a look at it.
It seems that [...]

Today I got myself a nice little treat. A new cell phone. A Sony Ericsson M600i, to be exact. It’s a darned nice phone, Symbian 9.1, UIQ3. It does not have a camera, and that is certainly not a big deal for me. I do not care a lot about having a camera in my [...]

I’ve finally begun to learn Cocoa, the object oriented API for Mac OS X, and I must say, Cocoa and Objective-C totally rocks. Sure, the syntax might seem a little strange at first, but once you get used to it (and believe me, you will), it’s much much better than for example Java or C++ [...]

I noticed a small change on the SweClockers forum. They have a search form a bit down on the page. That input-box gets auto-focused using javascript when the page loads.
That is immensely annoying. First and foremost, the search function is useful, but it is not what I use the most. Now, because my browser has [...]

For almost as long as there has been computers there have been some computer holy wars, Intel vs. AMD, Microsoft Windows vs. good operating systems or UNIX vs. ITS. But none of these are as debated as Emacs vs. vi. While I do prefer Emacs over vi, I’m not particularly fond of either of them. [...]

There was a report on file sharing today on SVT1 (you can watch the re-runs on Thursday and Friday, or you can watch it on the internet). Interesting stuff.
To save you from a lot of pointless rambling, I’ll begin by stating that file sharing is here to stay. No, really, it is. If the creators [...]

Following an IRC-discussion I thought I’d outline what I’d like to see in what is commonly called web 2.0, and it probably isn’t what you’d think
First of all, the main limitation of the web is not HTML, but HTTP. We need to redesign HTTP to allow persistent connections, thus allowing easier asynchronous data transfer and [...]

Well, I’ve found some interesting links, the first of which is Writers block live. This is a blook (a blog book) in which a former Apple employee writes about his experiences with Apple and Steve Jobs. When I say former, you’d might think that he’d be bitter or something. This is not the case, apparently [...]
