A lot of people have had problems with MobileMe, the new and better .Mac. Some have had problems with e-mail, others with slow servers and still others with billing for trial accounts. I belong to the latter group. I had around 1100 SEK reserved for a week on my credit card, and while I can see this as a very big deal for some people, for me it was an annoyance. To me, the compensation, a month of free usage is a good enough compensation.

As for MobileMe itself, in the beginning the web interface, albeit nice looking; was pretty slow, and the iDisk is very slow. Still, I am generally positive. Sure, it could be a bit cheaper, and they really should make the iDisk faster, but all in all, it’s a good product, and you get a lot from it. It’s very clear that a MobileMe account makes your Mac experience even better.
